THE CHALLENGE
Every skater spends way too much money on skate shoes: because of the constant friction between the dominant foot and the grip, one of the shoes wears out faster than the other. And, as a consequence, skaters have to throw their pair away, although only one of the shoes was worn out.

Every skater spends way too much money on skate shoes: because of the constant friction between the dominant foot and the grip, one of the shoes wears out faster than the other. And, as a consequence, skaters have to throw their pair away, although only one of the shoes was worn out.
THE IDEA
We created Vans 3xtra Shoe, the first pack with two shoes of the dominant foot, and one of the other. Once the dominant foot shoe was worn out, skaters would have an extra shoe to replace it without buying a new pair.
