UX WRITING CHALLENGE DAY 3
Proactivity
UX Writing Challenge
THE SCENARIO
The user entered the wrong email address to sign in to their account.
THE CHALLENGE
Tell the user to enter the right email.
THE SOLUTION
I decided to design this microcopy for Letterboxd, a social website dedicated for film lovers. This is their current error message:

The real microcopy Letterboxd currently shows users lets them know an error occurred, although it only says it’s probably a “human” mistake, without specifying if it’s the password or the email that have been entered incorrectly.
I didn’t conducted any previous investigation for this microcopy, I wanted to create a functional message that also expressed the personality of the brand. My proposal seeks clarifying the nature of the error, while showing the user some interesting data related to cinema.
To start the prototype, just click on the input bars “Username”, “Password” and then the button “Sign In”. You can check the two messages I designed, in case the user enters a wrong email twice.
